Customer Review

on 30 November 2012
Having recently read Ian Rankin and Peter May, who both write exceptionally, well, about policing in Scotland, I thought that I might be pushing my luck trying for a hat-trick. However as a 99p download from Kindle, I thought I would give it a try. I am very pleased that I did, DI Gilchrist, is a character that you are interested in and want to know more about. The storyline is extremely violent and graphic, and while the location is St Andrews, and therefore readily recognised by most readers, it does stretch the imagination, that such a relatively small town, should have so many violent murders. However, it has the advantage of being topical, as this is where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went to University. One wonders whether they knew that it was such a dangerous place before they enrolled!

If you like detective fiction, I thoroughly recommend this book, and I will certainly be reading more of this author.
