Where have you been all my life!,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Epson WorkForce Pro WP-4025DW A4 Inkjet Printer (Accessory)
Wow. I'm so delighted with my new printer. Where has it been all my life! I do a lot of craft work and have managed to link it by USB to my older computer in my craftroom and have linked it also by WIFI to the main computer downstairs. I was beat to get good colour results form any of our recent 'all in one' printers so decided I had to get back to printer only function, like we had originally, and came upon this model. What attracted me most was the fact it would print on card - which it does excellently - and the amount of printing from each cartridge. I have purchased the set of 4 Original Epson T7011, for just under £140 from Ink Worldwide but if they produce the suggested 3400 pages from each cartridge I will be well chuffed. I have had the printer for about a month now and even the amount of printing I get through I only changed the initial supplied cartridges, which we all know are not full cartridges, this weekend, indeed the aqua cartridge produced in excess of 100 full colour pages after the initial warning of low ink. By the way I have only replaced the colour inks so far and I am still running on the sample black. Full marks to Amazon for their service and price. I had this delivered to the Highlands within a couple of days.

Could you tell us whether you have used original or compatible ink cartridges? I am looking for a new printer-only machine to use with all my craft cd's and my current printer is not accepting compatibles, guzzling ink and costing a fortune to run. (also an Epson, and there has been talk that Epson have tinkered with their machines so that they do not accept compatibles anymore)

Hi, I've also purchased a set of compatibles from the same ink company for a fraction of the price, but of course have no need for them at present. So far I have replaced the colours with real Epsom cartridges - they come in 3 different ink amounts but the 3400 page ones look the best value if they do what it says on the packet. I still have not had to change the black cartridge that came with the machine though.
March 1st 2013 - Finally replaced the original black ink cartridge today! Amazing.

I was interested that you print on card. Could you please say up to what weight you have used. Thanks

I regularly use 300gm card for printing on, with no problem whatsoever.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply. Have you used the front tray for this weight of card or just the rear tray and is the paper you use standard or photo paper. Thank you again.

I always use the rear tray for heavier weight - don't think it's successful from lower tray as it has to 'bend' through. I use both photo and plain card, probably more plain. The only one I have had slight problems with is a really heavy weight pearl finished card.
Hope that helps.
