5.0 out of 5 stars Denon DM 38 DAB, 7 Aug. 2010
This review is from: Denon DM38 DAB Hi-Fi System in Silver (Electronics)
An excellent all in one Hi-Fi.

Pros,

Great sound!

Looks good.

DAB works very well

USB supports ipod and iphone so no need to buy the dock. Also you can have it on two different modes, the first mode lets you use your mp3 player to select the tracks. The second, is that it lets you view all the tracks on the screen of the hi fi and lets you select the one you want.

Cons,

Although it has addressed some issues it still has a few,

Firstly, the overbearing bass. One tip put the speakers far apart.

Secondly, the FM radio receiver is weak. I cant pick up some of the main stations.

And lastly, the voloume control. Sometimes 11 is to quiet and 12 is a bit too loud. However Denon has improved it from the DM37 volome control.

All in all, this is one great little Hi-Fi. It has improved over the DM37 which won the what Hi-Fi award, however it does has a few cons. Would defo advise people to buy this.

I found it near perfect, no cons.
The bass depends also on the loadspeakers you use, my whaferdale diamond 9 are just fine, not too much bass.
I only use DAB, can't comment on FM.
My volume control is stiff and very gradual, also at 11/12, I like it, it never goes too load by accident.

Whaferdale Diamond 9, I am not sure you can still find them, they are tiny, the only ones I could fit in my shelf and they sound as well as the bigger ones (Kef Cresta) I have in the front room.
