Regardless of whether you like his lovely, lilting music or not, this book is a gem. I didn't expect it to be so funny with a tone and style that speaks confidentially into your ear like a friend letting you in on a secret. It's also a beautifully crafted travel tome and reads without ego about life on the road. Yorkston is modesty embodied, in music and narrative, and these reflections on Vegan riders, backwater gigs, musings on airplane fear and minstrel-wandering Europe had me in chortling bits. Highly recommended. Please write a follow up edition. Accompany with some of his great songs.
