Leo Marks' thoughful but often humourous insight into the inner workings of SOE is one of the most stimulating books I have ever read. Having a previous but unexplored interest in the World Wars and especially Intelligence, this book has sparked off a series of trips to the library and book-shops that will not die down for quite some time. This book is a bittersweet memorial to all those who fought and died to protect their (and our) freedom. A definitely MUST have book.
