Bought originally for my 5 year old, but it's too advanced for her still, as she really is just only learning her letter sounds and starting to blend, however my 8 year old loves it! Some of it is too easy for her and some she has to think about ,however the more she does it, the more she remembers and she's getting them mostly right now! Only had it 3 days so far, also got my 10 year old to do it as his sats are approaching in May , to make sure he understands his verbs and adverbs, pronouns etc and also what is past , present and future tense. Am purchasing as many different sets as I can ,as the whole collection is really great in my opinion for all the primary age children , as the entire set ranges from pre-school through to year 6, reinforcing everything they are being taught within the school curriculum. Please note well, these sets do not come with the hot dots pen, nor with the 2 xAAA batteries they need when you buy it. The only sets that do come with the pen are the 'lets learn starter sets in phonics, grammar and maths sets.' The inky mouse pen that comes with those sets do have an English speaking accent, some cat and dog pens do come with an American accent,so be aware.
