A Pleasant Discovery,
This review is from: An Encyclopaedia of North-East England (Hardcover)
I came across this book unexpectedly, and I am glad I did. It provides a very far-reaching encyclopaedia of knowledge about North East England and is very well written and very, very readable. I would encourage the reader to read it from cover to cover, not to dip into it, as in many encyclopaedias. It contains some astounding, but little-known facts, about the area, and is right up-to-date (about 2009)making it of more value. O.k., as the first reviewer has stated, there are a small number of minor errors, but do not let these deter you from purchasing it. It is one of my treasured book purchases, and I would unreservedly recommend it to you with the hope that you derive as much pleasure as me from it. It is truly a great labour of love from an impeccable author source. Purchase it now, when you can, because it will shortly be in short supply. Enjoy!
