A comprehensive guide for amatures to Britsh Politics,
By A Customer
This review is from: Mastering British Politics (Palgrave Master Series) (Paperback)
As the name suggests, with this book, I really did master basic British politics. I came to the subject with little knowledge and was extremely wary (and a little frightened!). All of my fears were dissolved when I began to read the different sections. The explainations on the voting methods used in Britain were compared to those in other European countries. The pros and cons of each were clearly available and it was not biased in any way. Each political British party was summarised, with their main objectives. There were also explainations on how the Houses of Parliament work. The content of he book was well - referenced and at any time, I found it easy to locate the piece of information I was loooking for. This book has given me vital political knowledge, which I feel I should have known, along with a new-found confidence when discussing this issue.
