Poor by Star Trek Standards,
This review is from: Star Trek 3 - The Search For Spock [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This film is poor by the standards of Star Trek. Its one sole purpose is to bring Spock back to life. Spock died at the end of the previous Star Trek film, to save the crew (The real reason was that Leonard Nimoy, the actor that plays Spock, did not want to play Spock ever again and wanted his character to die, but then changed his mind). The film succeeds in bringing Spock back to life and thereby preserving one of Star Trek's all time favorite characters, but it achieves litte else. Compared to the Wrath of Khan this film is poor. The story is completely subservient to the task of bringing Spock to life and as a result suffers. If you are not a Star Trek fan then don't watch this film, but if you are a Star Trek fan then do buy this film as it does provide you with some important information which will enhance your viewing of over films in the Star Trek series.
