This review is from: Menagerie (Paperback)
Valerie Thornhill is reluctantly jogging in the hopes of losing 25 pounds before her mother's scheduled visit in 2 weeks when she is sucked into a space ship; The Dark Queen. As this is somewhat a usual side effect when they travel through a wormhole close to Earth, the alien Others have perfected the stay of the humans they accidentally abduct during their journey home and try to give them as normal a life as possible. Unfortunately an unusual side effect on the human men during their unintended space travel is that they require sex every couple of months or they die, and as they outnumber the women considerably, they are expected to share a wife.

When Valerie is told by a blue skinned alien she is expected to marry between 4 and 7 men and sexually service all of them regularly for the next 3 years she's convinced she's either in a seriously intense dream or a coma. Selecting the handsome Hauser, she is quickly introduced to the other 4 men in his group and finds herself having mind blowing sex with each of them in rapid succession.

Hauser, Johnny, Frasier, Mark and Dominick are all very different in both looks and personalities, and although Valerie is attracted to each of them and enjoys sleeping with them all, she finds herself falling deeply in love with one of them. Yet Valerie has to deal with the fact that when she is returned to Earth she will retain no memory of her time on an alien space ship or of the man she loves and he in turn will not remember her.

There is no group sex in this book despite the multitude of partners available, instead Valerie has plenty of hot alone time with each man twice every month as per her contractual obligation; although she does start breaking the rules by spending her free time with one of them. Like the other books I have read by LS ("The Wives Tales" series and "The Tiburon Duet"), "Menagerie" is one steamy futuristic adventure and I hope this author considers writing about the other abductees we meet aboard The Dark Queen.
