I love this racing family so much, they have so much love. This is Arie's story. At 22 she has been married to Easton for 4 years and they've hit a rough patch. He has taken on too much, trying to win 3 championships in one year and its pushed them apart. Arie's fed up and she finds an excuse to run home to be with her family.
While she's with her family on the dirt tracks and at home, she reconnects with Rager, a guy who she's always had feelings for.
Arie's angry with Easton and I think she's feeling confused about Rager but as the reader I felt a bit confused myself with her. I felt in the beginning that we had too many negatives against Easton and too many positives for Rager. I was rooting for Easton but it got to a point where I was like jeez why don't you divorce the guy and get together with Rager. I didn't want to feel that way but she seemed to be only telling me the negatives about Easton and there weren't many positives. I started to doubt that she even loved the guy!
It wasn't until about 80% in that I started understanding her and Easton's relationship. But she kept saying that a bit of her would always be in love with Rager and to be honest I think it was more lust, I think they had chemistry but technically they'd not done much to act upon that.
I did get a better understanding of her relationship with Easton but I still don't feel like there were enough positives about him and I'd have liked her to focus longer on what she did love about him etc.
It was great catching up with the usual Riley pranks and I loved seeing Jameson and Sway together. Their relationship is epic. They have some struggles in this book as well and that really brought the whole family together. It had the usual fun, laugh out loud elements that you expect with the Rileys. But there was also more serious situations which led to heartbreak and tears!
A great story and addition to the series but I just wanted to LOVE Easton more than I did. I wanted to see their love a bit more
