A Worthy Standalone,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Munchkin Zombies Card Game (Toy)
We've played Munchkin Zombies standalone and combined with the original. I think we prefer it standalone, but both work well.
Munchkin Zombies is a card based game where you all play as zombies, and you must fight humans to level up and win the game. See the rules of the original Munchkin to get an idea of the gameplay - it may be best to start with that game first.
Zombies introduced mojo's, which are the same as powers seen in other expansions. Mojos have a power level requirement to use, but can give you special abilities to give you the edge in combat or protect you against the other players. It's a small addition, but it works well.
I guess it depends on your preference, but we never dive to Zombies when choosing, finding Pirates and the original much more fleshed out. Zombies works interestingly combined with the other games, but the theme is a bit all over the place - although playing as a French Dwarven Strong Zombie in a spaceship is always worth a laugh.
