Irish warfare in Tudor times,

This review is from: The Irish Wars 1485-1603 (Men-at-Arms) (Paperback)
This is an interesting book about less-known subject: Irish warfare in Tudor times. At the start of the period arms and armour of the Irishmen were largely antiquated, but they learned fast, adapting firearms and even becoming better shots than Englishmen themselves! According to author, it was political disunity and lack of artillery which finally brought down the Irish freedom - much to the chagrin of both nations.
