This was actually the first Bad Religion CD I ever heard, and it's a blinder. I prefer it to Suffer, possibly because it was my introduction to the band and possibly because it's technically better. Probably a combination of the two. What is certain is that the lyrics are unbelievably good and all the instuments gell together perfectly. Another thing I loved about it was that there were no songs I wanted to skip, although I liked some more than others all of them are good; it's a very strong album.
I really cannot give this album enough praise, it turned my eye to punk ( well, ears) but this band eclipse Blink 182, Green Day or any other punk bands you care to mention. For one thing they've been around a lot longer and this is clear by their immense songwriting ability and especially the guitar leads and breaks, which are better than on any other punk album I've heard. Overture is a great way to open the album, as essentially it's a one minute intro to Sinister Rouge, which is easily one of the best songs on the album, however this doesn't let up at all.
