This review is from: Wedding Babylon (Paperback)
I have read all of these 'Babylon' books by Imogen Edwards-Jones and they are all fabulous. This one is no exception - lots of insider secrets and juicy gossip about the wedding planner industry and the excesses of weddings where money is no object. Ice bars, ice shot glasses and ice plates - who knew?! Makes the average person's wedding look like pie and chips down the local. Who can afford to spend 30,000 pounds on flowers, for goodness sake? It is a tantalizing glimpse into the world of brides-to-be who have a nervous breakdown if the tablecloths are the wrong shade of sage. The effort to make a wedding the 'perfect day' obviously gets taken to extremes in some cases. Makes a person want to have a quickie down the registry office!
