The Draper Stainless Steel Lawn Rake, model 44983 is a well made gardening tool, designed to make the task of scarifying a lawn to remove moss and thatch, both efficient and less arduous. The stainless steel tines are well spaced and constructed from a quality stainless steel rod of a substantial thickness, designed to be flexible during the raking process without the attendant risk of breakage. The upper section is made from a thicker stainless steel and joined to the Ash shaft with a substantial ferrule. The ash handle is long and tapered, designed to fit comfortably in the hand, whilst offering sufficient length to accommodate another hand lower down the shaft to apply raking presuure. The tool is certainly very effective in removing unwanted moss and thatch from the lawn, and I was very impressed with the value for money offered here. I would have expected to pay the asking price for a mild steel version, and to be able to purchase a stainless steel version of this quality is tremendous value. Be warned though, once you try a Draper gardening tool, you will want to purchase other stainless steel tools in the range, they are really exceptional value and will last a lifetime.
