Over the years i have collected many of the photographic books that show a history of the Black Country, and this must rate as one of, if not the, best of the bunch. Many of the other books use the same photographs and tend to get a bit monotonous, but this book is fresh from start to finish. Its nice to see Wolverhampton as it was before it was ruined in the 60`s, and the quality of photgraphs say more than any words can. If you like local or photographic history then this is an enthralling read.
