Customer Review

VINE VOICEon 20 January 2009
Just a cursory listen to this CD or to listen to the soundbites available on some sites should send any baby boomers right back to that magical mythical era of the early 60s. Check out "Dont Hang Up" , "The Wah-Watusi" and "South Street" with their minimal, deceptively simple arrangements for the pure cream. The vocal arrangements are so tight and funky they are irrisistible. It is sad that the compilation does not include their divine and yummy reading of Dionne Warwick's "Anyone Who Had a Heart" but you can find that on You Tube.
The Wikipedia entry for this group reads like a movie scenario, indeed this era in popular music is still very under-explored in film.
Give it a listen and if you were unaware of the group before you have a real treat in store
