Full of violence and mistery, Jon Stanton's fans will be pleased,
This review is from: Sociopath - A Thriller (Jon Stanton Mysteries Book 6) (Kindle Edition)
"Sociopath - A Thriller" is new book by Victor Methos with detective Jon Stanton as main character.
The book is really short, around 160 pages and Methos's fans would read it in one day with ease (and very likely with a great pleasure).
The familiar main character, detective Jon Stanton is spending peacefully his retirement days with his fiancé until he is informed that his good friend, who was working for the FBI, was killed.
Jon would go to Utah to investigate his friend's murder believing that the reason for his murder was coming too close to the killer of a brutal double murder...
For those readers who are not familiar with Methos's writing style first it must be said that his books are full of "bad" language and violence, this book especially towards the animals, therefore it couldn't be recommended for those who dislike it.
This mixture of mystery, thriller and horror genres for sure could be considered dark, and although book is short in duration author manages to make a good story.
The best book part is its main character whose good characterization evidently shows that he is the permanent character of the author's books.
"Sociopath" is not book for everyone, its language and convincingly showed violence can create reader's discomfort.
For some this will be an additional recommendation I'm sure...
