I am delighted and cannot imagine anyone being dismayed.
I would have liked to add a review for this disc, but your reference to 'lucidity, a fluid wisdom that wants to remain innocent, fresh....'
cannot be followed.
I am absolutely captivated by all four of Sumera's symphonies that I have heard to date (5 & 6 to come). Indeed I cannot stop replaying No.2 back-to-back. It's like climbing a rock-face hand over hand with bleeding knuckles, with wonderful views in all directions, but an obsessive need to remain focussed on survival.
I was born within 12 months of Lepo Sumera and, wasting my years of decline, I feel it is a shame that he was not granted the longevity of other north Europeans. I would love to know what he would have been composing this year.
