The line between urban and rural is getting blurred with The Farm Chicks and I think that's a great thing. This is primarily a cookbook full of casually sophisticated recipes from two women who started "junking" together in Washington (US).
The book is about cooking, crafts and enjoying the life you make for yourself. They show that you can live in the city and still have a bit of Farm Chick in you. It isn't about the geography, it's a state of mind.
The subtitle alone sums up the book: live well, laugh often, cook much. Good stuff! My full review can be read on the cookbook blog, Culinaria Libris.
