A cliche I know but this is a must-read...,
This review is from: Against All Odds (Paperback)
Reading this book was at different times a painful, funny, emotional, poignant and ultimately uplifting experience. The resileince of the human spirit has never been better illustrated than within this book's pages.
It is also a damning indictment of the institutional 'care' system in post-war Britain and the establishment responsible for creating and running it.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

Mr. Anthony Birkett says:
Yes that is the idea. The voices on the kindle sound similar to Steven Hawkings speech machine at times.

You've probably found out now - Aa on the keyboard and "Text to Speech becomes available. Rather monotone and not very good with the punctuation and 'reading with feeling' but if you can't be bothered to read - its OK ... ish! lol
