Average run-of-the-mill teen schlock-fest with an interesting premise,

I purchased this on a whim after seeing the trailer, and being mildly interested. I expecting something very low budget, and I was not disappointed. It's not all bad now. Anyone familiar with the work of H.P Lovecraft will know what to expect with this movie - the god-father of horror and sci-fi certainly had a morbid fascination for many-tentacled beasties, and the film utilises an interesting plot device which could have worked REALLY well with a slightly more talented writer at the helm.. well whatever you call the thing used to steer a plane.
Don't expect any serious character development, or in fact, any kind of a plot really. It's a serious case of "switch off brain" and just enjoy the movie for what it is - a loud, cheesy sci-fi, by the numbers teen horror fest with some interesting twists and turns.
