I bought this to replace and older and cheaper Netgear router. It's larger and provides a built in 4-port switch, dual band wireless, dual USB, ADSL2+ "modem" and an ethernet WAN for use with cable or VSDL.
Set-up was simple and straightforward and connection to my ISP worked first time. Wireless set up was straightforward and seems to work fine - though I mostly use wired connections - as they are faster and more secure.
Compared to the previous generation Netgear modem, it's a fraction faster, 13.5 versus 12 Mb/s.
So far the network connections have been stable and I've not been required to reboot the rooter for any reason.
It wanted a firmware upgrade as soon as it was connected to the network, which was painless and everything is working fine since the upgrade.
The only problem I've found so far is that it does not support port address translation, that my previous Netgear and other routers I've used. It's not a killer problem but it is a pain.
