Watching the trailer, you might be forgiven for thinking this is an upmarket Jennifer Aniston romcom. It very much isn't. In fact, the only one-liners are in the trailer. This is a thoughtful, sensitive exploration of a man who is marginally autistic and who therefore finds normal conversations and relationships to be a bit of a mystery. Meeting a girl who has massive self-esteem issues, the movie is a will it/won't it work out after a one night stand story. Once I had worked out that there weren't going to be any romcom plot devices and that this movie had something to say about coping with behavioural difficulties, I found it engaging and moving. A reflective and well paced film.
