This is a book great read. It's so easy to get lost in time and think your actually there while the events are happening.
This book should be on school curriculum to give students a real taste of what it was like in Ireland and the U.K. in the time of The Famine!
It's a great quick read, one for your holidays :)
Would definitely recommend it.

I agree with you about it being the history of UK and Eire being taught in schools, people don't know how hard it was for the working class and the vulnerable, they should be taught about how children were sold to do work just like slaves, they worked for food, also a very poor education, if they got injured they were left on the streets to defend for themselves.
