Customer Review

on 2 August 2009
This book is Malachi retold. The last book of the Old Testament is full of murder, rape, infanticide and general mayhem. And with Cormac MacCarthy's descriptive abilities and vocabulary we step a little closer to what it was then, was in the 1840's and sadly is probably now.

Each character in his book reflects a character in the Book of Malachi (last book of the OT) but you can work out for yourselves who is the missing one.

Mr MacCaffrey has a point but the randomness of God's behaviour is reflected in this book and also in the Book

PS Malachi's a short book.

Violent, painful, disappointing, surprising - but have you read your Bible recently?
