Customer Review

on 23 August 2012
Excellent book - and puts so well the difficulty of living on a more "remote"Greek Island. I could add more to the book (e.g. problems with water - or lack of it - and problems with receiving (and paying) electricity bills. We've lived in Greece for 5 years and try to explain to people that it's often not "idyllic" but can be hard work. And nothing like being on holiday, no matter how many holidays you've spent in Greece. This book really should be read by anyone considering a move to this crazy country. Also a thoroughly enjoyable read, a good "travelogue" too. Descriptive and cheerful most of the time, but I felt sad when they decided to leave. We've thought about leaving Greece, too, but doubt that we will however we know just what this couple have been through. Many marvellous days and some oh so annoying days.
