Looks good but not durable...shame,
This review is from: Team Chrome and Steel Glass Kettle WKG67K
I love the look of this kettle and yes it does boil really quick - a mugful of water in less than 30 seconds BUT this is now the second one we have had and again the neon light has stopped working and the fake chrome is peeling off the plastic around the base of the glass and the top of the handle where the lid latches on.
The last one was exchanged because it started boiling intermittently as well as the indicator light becoming intermittent at 12 months. This time the indicator lamp became intermittent at 12 months but it still boils and now the chrome plate is flaking off the plastic in multiple places after only 15 months.
It's a real shame this is not a real chrome/steel kettle instead of plastic coated and made more durable as I would pay more for that but I have to say now after the second one has done exactly the same that I'm not sure it's even worth 40 GBP for the time you will be able to use it...
A real shame...as there do not seem to be any quality alternatives.
Just tried to ring Team and their number is now out of order???
