I was unsure what to expect on reading this book, I've certainly not read anything similar before. Ben's no-holds-barred tale of adventure allows the reader to travel with him through country after country, experiencing the trials and tribulations from the comfort of your home.
If you choose to read his humorous account of a trip of a lifetime you can expect to experience the difficulties faced by the group and the tensions which mount when people are thrown into close proximity and challenged by adversity. You will be taken on a journey of geographical discovery as the terrain shifts and the Teams battle the elements in their (at some points highly inappropriate) vehicles of choice, not to mention the political education received along the way.
This book is so 3-dimensional as to come alive as you read it. However, be warned - reading 'Survival of the Quickest' may cause you to believe that it is a good idea to pack up the boot of your car and drive off into an adventure of your own!
