Haven't had any of the trouble with lag or bad image quality, but I will admit that this game pushed my poor old card to the edge.
With settings on higher you really will need something beefy to run this well, on more modest settings it shouldn't punish you too much and looks alright. The real thing you have to consider there is just how many enemies there can be.
If nothing else, the feeling of over whelming bug numbers has been caught
As for the single player missions, they are all fairly well laid out, with it being hard to get confused or lost.
This, of course, leads to a certain monotony common place in so many first person shooters. The only challenge being to kill bigger, or harder to hit bugs.
That said, there is something addictive about the level attack mode. Where you try to beat your personal best time and score for a level. Which for some of the out numbered and overrun missions is good fun.
All in all, if you like first person shooters where the object is to kill a lot quickly and in a sci-fi way, or have a particular thing for the films, you might just have a soft spot for this game . It isn't as though it is too expensive, now is it?
