This review is from: Miles in Love (Omnibus Edition) (Paperback)
I would highly recommend the whole Miles Vorksigan series which I have read and reread many times. I was really, really hoping this was a new book but Miles in Love is a combination of the full-length novels Komarr, A Civil Campaign and the short story Winterfair Gifts. I do not recall this being made clear in the advertising and I do feel conned by the publishers.
If you have never read any of this series it is better to start from the beginning with Shards of Honor as while each book can stand alone, each does build on the previous one. The author writes intelligent, readable and entertaining science fiction in the case of this series and excellent fantasy in her other books.
I'm still hoping for more new stories about Miles et al!!

I totally agree with the pissed of feeling with the publishers when they republish an old book in a new title or collection, and make it hard to tell if it is one you have already read. Especially as I also have read and re-read the Vorkosigan series from shards of honour onwards. I look for the new books on amazon, but if it is not clear what category it comes in , i will put off buying it on-line unless i am sure it is one i haven't read. I then have to wait until i see it i a bookshop and can tell for myself. In which case i buy it there.

To be fair, the Baen Books website makes it prefectly clear these are compilations, but the descriptions on Amazon could be clearer.
