I refer to the great screenwriting book, "How To Write Great Screenplays And Get Them Into Production," By Lina M James. I have read many screenwriting books in my time, but Linda M James' book's the best I have read yet! It takes you from the start all the way to the final draft. Imparting knowledge other screenwriters don't divulge. You'll find it an easy and informative read, covering all aspects and techniques of screenwriting. Other books by top screenwriters, Phil Gladwin and Blake Snyder are good reads, but too complicated for the beginner. Linda M James concentrates in making it easy for the newbie screenwriter in a friendly and easy way. This book is "ideal" for the screenwriting beginner, taking you through the various stages of writing a script. My advice to anyone seriously thinking of writing a screenplay, please read this book. It'll save you many hours, days or months of screenwriting problems.
