A great book,
This review is from: The Business Of Dying: (Dennis Milne 1) (Kindle Edition)
This is the first Simon Kernick book I have read but it certainly won't be the last. As soon as I finished reading I used my Kindle to purchase (the first time I have ever bought a book from my Kindle) the next Dennis Milne story.
The book is about a DS based in a London Police Station called Dennis Milne. He seems a good and committed copper who wants to put the bad guys behind bars, but he also has a secret life outside of the Police Force. The book is fast moving as his professional life and private life clash in the worst way possible. This leaves Milne fighting for his life as well as justice. Despite everything that Milne does wrong, he just did enough right right to ensure that I liked him as a character and wanted him to succeed.
In summary this is a great book and ensures that Simon Kernick is added to the list of authors that I will ensure I read their full booklist with Linwood Barclay, Greg Hurwitz, Dennis Lehane and Harlen Coben.
