This review is from: Saga of a Wayward Sailor (Paperback)
I first read this book some 4 years ago and have read nearly all of his books so far. This book is an excellent stater into the life of T,jones whose voyages will take you from working on Thames sailing barges to sailing lake titicata in peru; In saga of a wayward sailor jones starts of with sailing out of the artic circle towards russia where he is arrested and held as a spy but T,jones still manages to get upto no good selling russian sailors american dollar bills and drinking large quntaties of russian Snapps.on realease he spends time in the Baltic sea traveling through the canals to amersterdam where he ends up nearly being sunk by a 1ooo dutch edamds.this was the first book that T,jones was to write and im sure that the reader will not put this down until they have to .T.jones keeps his readers captive by colourful explenations of sailing skills ,history of areas visiting, and anything witty that might be in relation to the part of the story.T,jones was a true gentlemen sailor, and saga of a wayward sailor will stay a favourite not only for sailors but also for adventure enthusiasts for many years to come.
