Customer Review

on 15 June 2010
It's a shame that some people still want human nature portrayed in easily-decipherable language. That movies must always have a recognisable and satisying conclusion. That viewers must never be left to think for themselves about the various dark and disturbing motives of so many people living in a confined and largely unenlightened world. I may only watch this film once, but it will live with me for a very long time for reasons too many to mention here. Suffice to say, that human nature is complex and unpredictable and, yes, often cruel, selfish and dark, and we should be grateful to all artists, be they writers, film-makers, musicians, painters, who never allow us to forget that. And yes, there was even humour in the film. All-in-all, too subtle for the 'one star' brigade who just don't get it. And probably never will.
