Having read and enjoyed his first books I eagerly purchased this 2 or 3 years ago. I consider it a personal achievement to have finally finished it. A retired English teacher told me once that life is too short to waste on bad books. However, it is not that this is a bad book, it has good writing and a plot of sorts, it is just that reading it is pure torture. Watching paint dry would literally be more fun. Sitting in a dentists chair with the sound of fingernails being dragged down a blackboard would be pleasure rather than reading a sentence of this book again. The hours of my life i want back. Any chance of a refund?
