Was really looking forward to starting this DVD as Katy has an excellent reputation and my yoga instructor recommended getting her DVD. So was extreemly disappointed when trying to follow this DVD. She speeds through the positions and excercises, not explaining the origin of them or the benefit to your body. I'm not a beginner, and i like to take my time over my yoga, focusing on my breathing and controlled movement of my body. This DVD does not allow for this strategy at all. Katy made me feel inferior as she sped through each section in her expert, highly experienced, extreme yoga fanatic way. In the introduction she did mention that you should follow the DVD at your own pace as you build up your strength and ability, and that its suitable for all levels of fitness-definately not for beginners! And is impossible to do at your own pace-the whole point of using a DVD is so you can follow the instructors instructions, but as Katy goes through things so fast this is impossible to do at your own pace. It's her pace or nothing. In my opinion the yogaworks DVDs are suitable for those who do yoga purely for fitness, and want to take it to the extreme, rather than for those who want to use yoga to gently strengthen their bodies while relaxing them and giving spiritual healing also(like myself) The music is rubbish for a yoga DVD-more suited to a fitness DVD.The music in the relaxation section is very irritating, and prevents me from relaxing at all. Needless to say that after several attempts at this DVD,and much pausing and rewinding as i tried franticly to catch up with Katy, while doing the positions properly,i'm ditching it.
