This review is from: Hug-Me Monkey Foot Massager (Personal Care)
I bought this Hug-Me Monkey Foot Massager for my wife, for those occasions when I cannot be there to massage her feet myself. It is not a substitute for a proper massage, being a simple vibrator in the centre of a comfortable warm, but over-sized, sock.
There are three positions on the 'remote' (on a lead) control, Off, Slow, Fast. The vibrator is underneath the centre of the sock, and there is enough spare room to move both ones feet around to be able to put the vibration under any part of either foot. In fact there is almost too much room, and the large opening around the ankles allows a draft if not tucked up neatly, which could be a problem with bare cold feet - so I recommend normal socks are also worn when cold.
The vibration is not to be used for long, five to fifteen minutes only is suggested. It is not a brilliant vibration either, quite small in amplitude and maybe too fast, but a lot better than nothing. The sock is quite pleasant to leave ones feet inside after the massage, and, when well tucked in, nice and warm, even though NOT heated.
The instructions are at great pains to point out that none of the massager should be allowed to get damp, let alone wet. Fortunately, the lining can be unzipped from the massager and put in the washing machine.
My only technical quibble is that the plug from the mains brick does not have a right angle where it goes into the massager, and so the lead from it is bearing straight down, and pushed heavily into the floor - a possible point of premature failure.
