Enjoyable enough but predictable,
This review is from: Sisters Red (Paperback)
I purchased this book purely on a judging a book by its cover basis. It's so pretty and shiny! Plus it's a reworking of a fairy tale, I love those!
It is an easy, uncomplicated read. The story is enjoyable enough. There is lots of action with Scarlett and Rosie fighting the dreaded Fenris to avenge their grandmother's death and stop them attacking pretty young girls. The younger sister, Rosie, struggles to make a choice between hunting and her slightly awkward romance. The main failing for me was that by about a quarter of the way through you could pretty much guess what the main plot twist was going to be - not a major issue but I like to be surprised sometimes and a bit of suspense is always nice.
Overall, it isn't groundbreaking literature but I liked it and I will read other books by the same author.
