I-Spy lots of fun!,
This review is from: i-SPY Car Badges (Michelin i-SPY Guides) (Paperback)
The idea behind these books is that within the pages, there are pictures of various car badges and you have to spot as many as you can in your day to day life and then tick the box when you've spotted it. When you spot a certain badge i.e. Ford, it gives you 10 points and you can keep track of how many points you have and when you reach a certain number, you can go to the Michelin website and get them to send you or your child a certificate to say you've obtained set number of points.
Harry is really quite amazing at spotting car badges and straight away through the book to tick off the ones he has definitely such as family cars and more popular models he sees on the roads. There were some he wanted to tick because he'd seen them on Top Gear lol but I told him that was cheating a bit and he had to wait until he saw it in real life. Now, he keeps the book in the door pocket in the car so he always has it to hand ready to tick off a car he hasn't seen before in the book, and it's lovely to see his excitement when he spots something new to tick off!
The images in the book are of a very good quality, and make it easy for a young child like Harry to differentiate between them all. The pictures actually focus on the logo, not the car so it certainly helps in that respect. There is a little bit of text about a car next to the image, a circular box to tick and the points value next to that. The car badges are listed in alphabetical so it helps the adult or older child to find a car quickly, whereas Harry just flicks through until he finds the one he wants at the moment. They have included almost every car brand you can imagine, even some American ones so there is definitely a lot to work towards in the book and it can provide hours and hours of fun
Harry absolutely loves this book, and for the price of £2.50, I think it is fantastic value for money and perfect for any person who loves cars and wants something fun to do! Harry takes his book when we go on the long car journey to my parents and loves spotting the more unusual cars, and it's lovely to see the excitement on his face when he spots a new car. He also has a few other I-Spy books, such as Cars, On the Street and On the Motorway and all are equally enjoyable and fun.
