Customer Review

on 24 February 2013
The scans produced by this product from 35mm colour negatives are very disappointing - rough and washed-out, despite fiddling with the exposure settings, To some extent the contrast can be improved by adjusting the levels using an image-editing program, but the course texture cannot. For example, in some photos street signs are completely illegible whereas they are clear on the printed photos. The sharpening algorithm is extreme - there is a thick black line between areas of high contrast. I can get much better results by using a compact digital camera to take a photo of the actual prints. I can't see me ever using this product - the results are just not good enough, not even for sharing old pictures on Facebook. A shame, because it is quite easy to use and being able to scan to SDHC card without needing a PC is convenient.
