This review is from: Insects and Spiders (RSPB Pocket Nature) (Paperback)
A useful, superbly illustrated little guide to take in the field or keep as a reference, giving a good basic overview of the various insect orders. There is a representative range of species covered (c. 700), but often no reference to distribution - if interested, the reader will need to ascertain where they are found in the UK [which has 24,000+ species] (sometimes only in Europe) and whether they are common or rare. anyone wishing to study insect groups in more detail, will need a fieldguide to these e.g. dragonflies. Easy to use and suitable for entomologists and those with an interest in nature.
