Customer Review

on 22 September 2006
Pretty good comp of mid'60s uptempo soul tunes. Some of them (e.g. Rodger Collins) are moving more into "raw soul" than "northern", but the dividing lines between the genres are often blurry. No big mainstream hits, but plenty of club sounds to keep your feet moving, and with some real gems too. The vinyl edition is the complete versions of each tune; there's also a mixed version on CD for those who like that sort of thing but personally I'll have the originals any time. Rubbish generic cover though!
