1.0 out of 5 stars Why?, 23 Feb. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Original Album Series (Audio CD)
This release serves no purpose and as such dererve no review.

And Yes I love the bunnymen from this period, Actually this is all you really need to know about the bands brilliance.

If you compare these five albums with the 5 reformation ablums they are lije chalk and cheese.

Seperated by a generation if you like the newer stuff you will be perplexed by this stuff and visa versa.

JMC says:
What an absolutely rubbish review.
I also own these albums, bought first back in the 80s on LP and then the deluxe CD versions in the 00s.
However, there may be people who, attracted by the moderate price for five albums, will take a chance and discover The Bunnymen for the first time.

The bit about the 90's/00's albums is totally irrelevant to this purchase.

The number of people who found this review helpful says it all.

probably the worst 'review' i have yet seen on Amazon... and bloody hell thare are some classics out there. I concur with every word JMC wrote. chalk and chesse, yep.
I quite like the reformation albums, and Ian's solo work... but for certain thes 5 albums are a class above , above just about everything actually.
I seem to be on my own on this , but to me 'Porcupine' is their best work... noy as instant or catchy as the others , but livewith it for a little and the hooks will get a grip ,,,and never let ya go ... i have loved it for nearly 30 years. Awesome.

'No purpose'? What if... oh, I don't know... you DON'T ACTUALLY ALREADY OWN the albums...?

I didnt own any of the Bunnymen albums until I ordered this, a great way to get them all in one shot. Being the casual fan that I am this was the perfect purchase for this band. As I prefer studio albums over greatest hits packages.

The review doesn't seem to be intended to annoy anyone, and so it's far from the worst I've seen, but I do find it completely and utterly baffling, so I must sadly add to the chorus of those rating it as unhelpful.

Awful review, this is a great way for casual buyers to own those first 5 classic albums and in my case was a chance for an older Bunnymen fan to replace his well worn vinyl with CD versions.

After reading this bizarre, and misspelled, review I checked Mr/Ms Frizelle's other reviews! All of which are well written, informative, and , in my opinion, largely accurate. Maybe a lesson to all of us....
