Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Sony KDL50W656ASU 50-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p LED Smart TV with Freeview HD - Silver (Discontinued by Manufacturer) (Electronics)
I don't understand why many stores in the UK don't stock this 50" model, and trying to sell you the more expensive W8 or W9, both are £1000+ and with the useless 3D throw in. I am glad I found this one on Amazon. This is probably the lowest price Sony LED TV in 50" format, that includes X-Reality PRO and 200Hz Motionflow. The picture quality is just as good as it's 42" little cousins.

As an owner of the aforementioned set ( W9 ) with the : useless 3D throw in : the 3D function as the best on the market, this I know as I swop my TVs frequently and I only buy the best. Make no mistake about it that unless you go to Hyper HD this is the best that money can buy at present. JOHN.

Hi there. Just wondering if this 50in also uses a VA panel like the 42in version in the same model? Thanks.

I was looking at purchasing this tv also....I did notice some stores listing it as KDL50W656...does any one know if the "ASU" at the end of this model code denotes anything in particular or are they one and the same please?
