Stan Madeley, hero to the postal worker.,
This review is from: Second-Class Male: A Book of Misguided Letters (Paperback)
Four groups of people will immediately take Stan Madeley to their bosom and cry in exhaultation.
Postal workers will rejoice as Stan proves that letters can be more than final reminders for bills and chiropodist appointments.
The good folk of Ipswich will party until the wee hours knowing that the the cherished Basildon Bond brand may once more find a place in every household.
Chisel manufacturers will nod and smile sagely as one of there own diversifies into the written word and carves out a masterpiece.
Most of all, those of us who appreciate a sense of humour and wit will chortle and titter as they work their way through a sample of Stan's private correspondence.
Stan's letters to the rich, the famous and the corporate are a joy. The responses are a revelation.
This book is a wonderful read and will hopefully persuade a generation that a career in marketing brand management is not for those retaining a vestige of a sense of humour.
