A waste of 63p,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Camera for Kindle Fire (App)
When Kindle gave a choice of a two-way camera or a one- way my partner and I assumed it took outward photos not self-portrait only. Who, I wonder, is that vain that they only want to take self-portraits! I am happy with my Kindle Fire, but I feel somewhat cheated as Kindle should have been clearer on the camera description. To pay for it, although an extremely small price is a rip-off too. My partner's tablet comes automatically with a camera that takes outward facing photos. Sorry, but a big dissapointment

My family bought me my kindle for Christmas I was really looking forward to taking photos of my family on Christmas day no chance!!!! it only took a photo of me and that looked like an advert for a horror film a waste of money and a waste of time don't bother with it.

Surely u must've realised that with no camera lense on the back of the Kindle that it wouldn't take photos like a mobile phone or ipad would...

Had a kindle bought for me and it is taking some getting used to. Internet connection can be unreliable and email account confusing. I am sooo disappointed with the camera too. Why make it with just a front facing camera???? What is the use of that! I am really disappointed that I can't take any decent pictures, especially on holiday, special occasions etc. Am jealous of those who have a decent camera on their device!
It is good for downloading books etc and other applications. Just the camera issue really.
The help desk are very good at helping with problems as well

As a Kindle virgin ,I wasn't thinking of things so obvious ,Xmas morning was to busy preparing Xmas dinner, getting rid off all the xmas wrapping paper that my 1yr old grandson had strewn everywhere etc , just expected to charge +use ,I am not the only one who has been let down by this product ,but as my husband bought it for me you'd expect a man would have checked all the aspects out before buying Doh!!!

I assumed that the camera is just for 'face time' type use, not as an actual camera??
