Great music let down by poor recording,
This review is from: Bach: The Well-Tempered Clavier, Book 1 (Audio CD)
While the music is beautiful, I found the voices that can be heard in the background of virtually every track extremely off putting.

With Gould you have to take the whole package. He was unable to change his playing style for the recording studio. I urge you to see beyond the humming & embrace his genius. Look at the vocalising as a touching human weakness rather than a defect!

Gould's background humming and vocalizing, though fairly faint, could easily have been removed with modern technology. It can be distracting and I consider the review fair comment despite the 0 out 4 voting.
