In Shadows, Kit Berry transports her readers once again to the enchanting and beautiful world of Stonewylde.
Thirteen years have passed since the dramatic and tragic events of Solstice at Stonewylde and in Shadows, we are invited to catch up with some old friends (and a few old enemies) and make some wonderful new friends, including magical Leveret and sensitive Magpie.
But all is not well at Stonewylde. Dark forces are gathering. After years of the community living in harmony, is history about to repeat itself? Are the sins of the fathers about to be revisited on their sons and daughters?
I will not give the plot away, but will say that like the other books, Shadows will take your breath away and leave you wanting more. If only we could all go for a pint of cider in the Jack pub, dance around the village green or feel the earth magic up at the stone circle.
Now begins the long wait for the fifth and final book in the series.
If you're new to Stonewylde, do yourself a favour and read the first three books first. You will be able to follow and enjoy Shadows without reading them, but I wouldn't want anybody to miss out!
